Level 1: The Ground Level
The ground level of emotional agency is where individuals begin to acknowledge and understand their emotional experiences and involves creating a safe space to confront difficult feelings. At this level, individuals begin to identify the sources of their pain and how it has shaped their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships, and they start to challenge those realities.
Healing requires self-compassion and patience.
It is also a time to reconstruct basic coping mechanisms and develop greater self-awareness. This could involve journaling, speaking with trusted friends, seeking guidance from a therapist, or signing up for one-on-one coaching with Maryam.
The focus is on learning to sit with emotions without judgment and beginning to challenge negative beliefs about oneself.
Sometimes, this level of awareness can feel overwhelming, but these meditations are designed to alleviate some of the challenges we face at the ground level of emotional healing.
